The Power of Collaboration

When like-minded organizations join forces with similar goals and desires – great results happen. This is precisely how The Nest Climate Campus was born. Created to advance sustainability, The Nest was founded in 2019 by supporting organizations The Javits Center, NYC & Company, and the Climate Group. The inaugural event attracted many organizations eager to share their important research and proved to be a successful networking center during Climate Week NYC.

The Nest Climate Campus is now a proud event partner of Climate Week NYC and is honored to contribute to the mission of expanding climate action here in the U.S.

We are really excited to partner with The Nest Climate Campus as an official partner of Climate Week NYC. As the world grapples with a tapestry of challenges, all of which threaten the most vulnerable members of society the hardest, there has never been a more important time to engage with each other so that we can build a better future. Following on from the success of 2021, the Javits Center, with its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and climate action, is the ideal location to host such a central part of the biggest Climate Week on earth, and indeed the biggest climate summit to take place globally in 2022. Climate Week NYC, running in collaboration with the United Nations General Assembly, will be the most critical, inclusive, and globally focused week in our history. The Nest is a vital part of our mission to inspire meaningful change both in New York and around the world.

Climate Week NYC, by the Climate Group

Climate Week NYC is one of the key summits in the international calendar that has taken place every year in New York City since 2009. The summit takes place alongside the UN General Assembly and brings together international leaders from business, government and civil society to showcase global climate action.

The Climate Group is a non-profit organization that works with business and government leaders around the world to address climate change. The group works to accelerate climate action and acts as a catalyst to take innovations and solutions to scale by driving together powerful networks of businesses and governments that shift global markets and policies.

Located in Manhattan’s West Side, The Javits Center is the busiest convention center in the United States. It is also a leader in sustainable architecture, as it is home to a robust sustainability program including state-of-the-art, energy-efficient equipment and policies, a growing wildlife sanctuary on a 6.75-acre green roof and a new project in conjunction with the New York Power Authority to install the largest rooftop solar array in New York City.
