The Nest Climate Campus Advisory Board

 

The Nest Climate Campus is pleased to announce our new Advisory Board, comprised of transformational leaders across a variety of climate industries and sectors. 

The Advisory Board will help to evolve The Nest Climate Campus, the largest U. S. climate event and the official event partner of Climate Week NYC. Leveraging their collective expertise, board members will help shape the design of an immersive Campus that will empower individuals and organizations to accelerate climate action.

Elizabeth Bagley, Managing Director, Project Drawdown

Elizabeth Bagley, PhD, is an interdisciplinary environmental scientist and learning scientist with experience spanning academia, business, and the nonprofit sector. 

As Managing Director, Elizabeth guides Project Drawdown’s overall strategy and keeps programs and operations functioning smoothly across the organization. Before joining Project Drawdown she led higher education-focused climate workforce development at SEI, directed sustainability efforts at the California Academy of Sciences, and designed the science content for video games at LeapFrog. 

Wawa Gatheru, Founder and Executive Director of Black Girl Environmentalist

Wawa Gatheru is a Kenyan-American climate activist passionate about cultivating a climate movement that is made in the image of all of us. In 2019, Wawa made history as the first Black person in history to receive the Rhodes, Truman, and Udall scholarships. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford.

She is the Founder and Executive Director of Black Girl Environmentalist, the only national organization dedicated to addressing the pipeline and pathway issue for Black girls, women, and gender expansive individuals in the climate sector. Under her leadership, BGE has grown as a trusted, national organization that has worked with 80 corporate and non-profit partners and hosted 100+ events across 14 HUB cities. In the summer of 2024, BGE launched the Hazel M. Johnson Fellowship Program - the first climate pipeline program created for and by GenZ of color. With a membership of over 2,000, Forbes has called Black Girl Environmentalist “one of the largest Black youth-led organizations in the country”. 

Isaias Hernandez, Founder, Queer Brown Vegan

Isaias Hernandez is an environmentalist, educator, and creative devoted to improving environmental literacy through content creation, storytelling, and public engagements.

Isaias is more commonly known by his moniker, Queer Brown Vegan: the independent media platform he started to bring intersectional environmental education to all. His journey to deconstruct complex issues, while centering diversity and authenticity, has resonated with a worldwide audience. He also collaborates with other leaders from the private and public sectors to uplift and produce stories of change for his independent web series, Sustainable Jobs and Teaching Climate Together.

Isaias has been featured in several noteworthy publications, including Vogue, New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, and Business Insider. As a public speaker, he’s presented for New York Times, Nike, UC Berkeley, Billie Eilish’s Overheated Summit, Harvard University, The Nest Climate Campus, and more.

Victoria Johnson, Chief Marketing Officer, ExpectAI

Victoria Jefferson is the Chief Marketing Officer at ExpectAI, leading the marketing strategy for Una, an AI-powered climate action platform that helps businesses drive profitability while reducing their carbon footprint.

A seasoned marketing leader, she has shaped growth-driven strategies for Apple, Nike, Adobe, Levi’s, and TIME CO2. With expertise in brand positioning, digital transformation, and go-to-market strategy, Victoria excels at turning complex innovations into compelling, market-leading narratives.

Colin le Duc, Founding Partner, Generation IM

Colin le Duc is a Founding Partner of Generation Investment Management. Generation was established in 2004 as a dedicated sustainable investor. Colin is head of the firm’s San Francisco office and focuses primarily on Generation’s Private Markets businesses. He also serves as Vice Chair of Just Climate, a Generation business dedicated to climate-led investing. 

Colin is also a board member for the Ocean Conservancy and The Ostara Collective.

Charlie Leech, Director of Corporate Engagement, Emergent

Charlie Leech is the Director of Corporate Engagement at Emergent, based in New York, focused on scaling climate finance within the LEAF Coalition for tropical forest preservation. With extensive international experience—at the intersection of financial services, news and media, and sustainability—she has expertise leading global climate, nature and biodiversity ambition forward in collaboration with corporates, non-profits, the private sector and governments.
 
Immediately prior to joining Emergent, Charlie directed global corporate sustainability at McCann Worldgroup, part of The Interpublic Group of Companies; and previously she directed sustainability partnerships at Bloomberg, within Bloomberg Green and Bloomberg New Economy. As a Mentor for the inaugural World Wildlife Fund and Amano So, 'Fellowship for Conservation Leadership 2025', Charlie is democratizing access to opportunity and empowering emerging leaders. Charlie has moderated panel discussions with global leaders and contributed to forums on sustainable finance, investment and emerging technology at The United Nations.

Suzanne Long, Chief Sustainability and Transformation Officer, Albertsons Companies

Suzanne Long is Chief Sustainability and Transformation Officer for Albertsons Companies, the second largest food and drug retailer in the US. In this role, she is responsible for driving both the company’s sustainability strategy and transforming the company’s approach to engaging and inspiring its 275k+ frontline associates. 

Suzanne began her career at Accenture, consulting for Fortune 100 companies. She joined Albertsons in 2001, leading the company’s Lean Six Sigma program, the first of its kind in the food and drug industry. In 2008, she became the Retail Practice Leader for the consulting firm SSA & Company, directing engagements with clients such as Kroger, Harris Teeter, Staples and Office Depot. 

Suzanne joined the “new” Albertsons Companies in 2012, leading five major acquisitions/integrations that grew the company to the nation’s second largest food and drug retailer. In 2020, she became Group Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Sustainability, and the following year was promoted to her current position.

Miranda Massie, Director, The Climate Museum

Miranda Massie (she/her) is the Director of The Climate Museum. In 2014, Miranda left a career in social justice litigation to lay the groundwork for the Museum. It has created an activist, cultural approach to community engagement with climate, recognizing that most Americans are worried about the climate crisis, but unsure how to take meaningful action. The Museum’s free, accessible exhibitions, art installations, advocacy tools, events, youth programs, and more have touched hundreds of thousands of visitors and participants and received extensive recognition, broadening the climate movement with an emphasis on community, justice, and inclusion.

Miranda’s prior honors as a civil rights litigator include Fletcher Foundation, W.E.B. Dubois Institute, and Harvard Law School Wasserstein Public Interest Fellowships, as well as a Mentorship-in-Residence at Yale Law School. Her previous governance board service includes the East Coast Migrant Head Start Project, a Head Start organization for migrant farm families, and the Center for Popular Democracy. Miranda holds a J.D. from New York University, an M.A. from Yale University, and a B.A. from Cornell University.

Jamie Richards, Director of ESG, Bansk Beauty

Jamie Richards is the Director of ESG at Bansk Beauty, which is the platform for high-growth, efficacious, beauty brands serving professional, prestige, and masstige retail markets. Jamie’s expertise is in technical sustainability. She is passionate on the integration of sustainability and business and believes it is one of many solutions in minimizing climate impacts. She uses scientific data, sustainability metrics, and consumer terminology to give results in an understandable way. 

Seema Wadhwa, CEO of Net Positive Solutions

Seema Wadhwa, recognized as a Time100 Climate Leader, is the CEO of Net Positive Solutions. She has served as the Executive Director of Environmental Stewardship at Kaiser Permanente, the largest nonprofit, integrated health system in the U.S. In her role, Seema directs a diverse portfolio encompassing sustainable operations, the development of resilient communities, and initiatives to safeguard member health amidst climate challenges. Driven by a commitment to catalyzing transformative change, Seema actively engages in external coalitions, policy forums and other collaborative initiatives, advocating for putting health at the center of climate action.
