Dr. Jonathan Foley of Project Drawdown to Deliver Climate Solutions Keynote Address

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, May 10, 2023 - The Nest Climate Campus is pleased to welcome Dr. Jonathan Foley, Executive Director at Project Drawdown, as a Keynote Speaker, kicking off Main Stage programming on Wednesday, September 20th.

Dr. Foley is a world-renowned environmental scientist and sustainability expert who has dedicated his career to finding solutions to the world's most pressing environmental challenges, including climate change, ecosystem conservation, and the future of food. As the Executive Director of Project Drawdown, he leads a team of researchers and experts working to identify, scale up, and prioritize the most effective solutions to reach drawdown–the point in the future when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in The Nest Climate Campus this year and share the most up-to-date research and insights on climate solutions," said Dr. Foley. "With investments in climate technology at an all-time high, it is more crucial than ever that we communicate the most heavy-hitting and scientifically sound climate solutions available to us today."

In addition to their insightful table of nearly 100 scientifically viable climate solutions, Project Drawdown has been hard at work finding new and innovative ways to accelerate the adoption of climate solutions. Recent initiatives include: the Drawdown Roadmap, a science-based, five-step plan to accelerate the adoption of climate solutions; the expansion of their Drawdown Neighborhood series, a climate solutions short documentary series focused on cities throughout the United States; and more.

The Nest Climate Campus provides a unifying destination for climate action during Climate Week NYC, featuring industry experts on the Main Stage, influential Co-hosted Events, a plant-based Garden Eatery designed with networking in mind, and more.
