The world's most effective climate leaders are grassroots conservationists protecting entire ecosystems. Indigenous and local communities have long been stewards of nature, yet their role is often overlooked by the conservation and philanthropic sectors. Globally, Indigenous and local communities receive less than 1% of climate funding. To change this, community-based conservation organizations require recognition to elevate their work and resources to sustain it. This session brings both into one conversation.
