Explore how the Javits Center is leading by example in sustainability. This guided walking tour highlights our rooftop sustainability initiatives in action, offering views of the 6.75-acre green roof from the 4th floor of Javits North, which is LEED Gold certified.
This living ecosystem includes sedum plantings, solar panels, a working rooftop farm, a bird habitat, and pioneering bird-friendly glass, supporting 81+ bird and 5 bat species.
Led by the Javits Center team, the tour shows how biodiversity, energy efficiency, and climate resilience come together in action.
