GreenCollar is one of Australia’s largest environmental market investors and project developers. We partner with farmers, graziers, traditional owners, and other land managers on a portfolio of over 200 nature-based projects that span over 5 million hectares. The objective of these projects is to attract financing from the private sector, via a market mechanism, to produce lasting positive outcomes for the environment while strengthening agricultural enterprises and delivering social and economic benefits. This is achieved by providing incentives and payment for sustainable land management practices and ecosystem services.
Our international strategy centers on collaborating with local counterparts to develop and invest in nature-based projects with smallholders and other landowners. These projects sequester carbon through agroforestry, woodlots and native ecosystem restoration. GreenCollar has invested in projects in India, Malawi, Ghana, and Cambodia, with additional work spanning Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Pacific.
