Tim Latimer

Tim is the Co-founder and CEO of Fervo Energy (Nasdaq: FRVO), a company pioneering the commercialization of next-generation geothermal power. By adapting proven technologies such as horizontal drilling and fiber optic sensing, Fervo is unlocking geothermal as a reliable source of 24/7 carbon-free energy.


Under Tim's leadership, Fervo completed the largest clean energy IPO in history in May 2026, raising $1.9 billion and achieving a market capitalization above $10 billion on its first day of trading. The company is building Cape Station, the world's largest enhanced geothermal project, delivering 100 MW of baseload clean power to the grid in 2027 and expanding to 500 MW by 2028 in Southwest Utah. Fervo has worked with Breakthrough Energy Catalyst, Google, Southern California Edison, Shell Energy, and other leaders in power generation, building a reputation for delivery and leadership in next-generation geothermal.


Tim began his career as a drilling engineer at BHP before earning an MBA and an MS in Environment and Resources at Stanford University. He has been named to MIT Technology Review's Innovators Under 35 and the TIME100 Next list for his leadership in advancing climate and energy innovation. Tim also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
