Sarah Elizabeth Ippel

Sarah Elizabeth Ippel is Founder & CEO of Cultivate Collective, where she recently led the completion of a $65 million, six-acre regenerative campus on a former public housing site in Chicago — a national model for climate-resilient, equity-centered infrastructure that is now net-positive for both energy and water. The campus achieved full Living Building Challenge® certification, making it the first whole school building in the world to reach that milestone, and it anchors the Academy for Global Citizenship (AGC), the public school Sarah Elizabeth founded in 2008, which has since trained over 10,000 educators globally in environmental education. Her work has been recognized by Forbes as one of the nation's top five game changers in education, and by Monocle as one of the top 20 international pioneers in the field. Her work sits at the intersection of resilient cities, food and health systems, and equity in the resilience economy.
