Dr. Quoc Pham is a Venture Partner at Earth VC. He was previously the CTO and co-founder of Electra, where he developed the foundational technology for producing near-zero-emission iron from low-grade ore — decarbonizing one of the world's hardest-to-abate industries. Over three decades he has taken hard technologies from first concept to field demonstration across fuel
cells, electrolyzers, grid-scale batteries, and green steel, with leadership roles at EnerVault, Staq Energy, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His work treats energy as an integrated system — following the evidence across grids, storage, and industrial electrification to find where limited resources deliver the greatest real-world climate impact. He holds a PhD in Solid State Chemistry from the University of Caen, France.
