Dr. Nicolas Burkardt is the Chief Financial Officer at Marvel Fusion, a German deep tech start-up aiming to commercialize fusion energy. Since joining the company in 2022, he has led all financial operations and secured over €310 million in private and public funding, positioning Marvel Fusion as one of the best-funded and most advanced laser fusion companies globally. Nicolas brings over a decade of experience in deep tech sectors, including quantum computing and aerospace. He has raised more than €600 million in private financing, overseen preparations for public listings, and built financial departments from the ground up. He holds a PhD in Economics and an engineering degree from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
