Marissa McInnis leads Verizon’s global sustainability and small business supplier programs, where she is responsible for enterprise-wide commitments across Verizon's sustainability portfolios. As the leader of Verizon’s sustainability strategy, she manages climate risks while growing the business and positioning the company as a key partner for resilient infrastructure projects.
An authoritative voice in climate and sustainability policy, Marissa’s leadership extends to her previous high-level roles within the U.S. government, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the climate shops of two White Houses, and the Pentagon. She served as the Senior Climate Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense, and directed Climate Adaptation and Resilience for the Secretary of the Navy.
Her work has shaped national policies affecting millions and continues to advance Verizon's commitment to building the resilient, climate-ready infrastructure required for a sustainable global economy. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and two children.
