Hadia Sheerazi

Hadia Sheerazi is an award-winning interdisciplinary researcher-practitioner specializing in de-risking the global energy transition and advancing resilience. Her work focuses on advising project developers, investors, and policymakers on best practices to secure social license from host communities and reduce siting and permitting risks for the on-time deployment of first-of-a-kind (FOAK) and commercial-scale clean energy and critical infrastructure projects across renewables, industrial decarbonization, next-generation geothermal and nuclear, and the responsible deployment of data centers. Most recently, she served as the North America Lead for the Mission Possible Partnership's Build Clean Now campaign to accelerate the deployment of priority clean industrial projects in Mexico and Canada. Previously, she played a pivotal role in building Columbia Climate School’s Carbon Management Research Initiative into a $20 million interdisciplinary research team, leading efforts to catalyze whole systems change through data-driven research, public-private partnerships, and engagements with policymakers in the U.S. and energy & climate ministries around the world. She is currently a Senior Fellow at Constructive.
Hadia has served on expert committees and working groups convened by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering & Medicine, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the NYC Panel on Climate Change. Her work on the energy transition and sustainable development has been recognized by the Clean Energy Ministerial, the United Nations, the White House Council on Women and Girls, the Financial Times, Reuters Events, and Yahoo! Finance. She holds a dual-MSc from Columbia University and a BA from St. John's University.
