Denise Owusu is a Decarbonization Manager at Motive Power and leader of the National Public Utilities Council (NPUC), an industry initiative focused on helping utilities navigate the clean energy transition through collaboration, benchmarking, and practical implementation strategies.
With a unique background spanning petroleum engineering, nuclear research, and utility decarbonization consulting, Denise brings a multidisciplinary perspective to some of the energy sector’s most complex challenges. She works directly with investor-owned and public utilities across North America on decarbonization strategy, sustainability programs, capital project execution, emissions reduction, clean materials adoption, workforce development, and organizational transformation.
Through the NPUC, Denise leads utility-focused research and industry forums, including the annual Utility Decarbonization Report, which evaluates and benchmarks utility progress toward climate and sustainability goals.
