Chiara Petrioli is Founder and CEO of Wsense, the deep tech scale up which has pioneered and is leading the Internet of Underwater Things revolution. Before becoming an enterpreneur Chiara has developed a successful academic career as full professor in computer science and engineering at Sapienza University of Rome where she has directed three labs and has had leadership positions including deputy rector. In 2024 and 2025 she has served as a member of the board of the European Innovation Council. Chiara is an IEEE Fellow, a World Economic Forum Uplink Top Innovator and an Endeavor Enterpreneur.
