Alicia Argüello
Global Head of Sustainability, Hitachi Energy
Alicia Argüello is the Global Head of Sustainability for Hitachi Energy, the global technology leader in grid infrastructure and electrification. In this role, Alicia drives Hitachi Energy’s Sustainability 2030 strategic plan and its targets in close collaboration and alignment with Business Units, Regions, and Functions. She joined Hitachi Energy’s predecessor, ABB, in 2017, as the HSE Manager for High Voltage Products and as Global Head of Human Rights.
Prior to joining Hitachi Energy, Alicia was the Sustainability Manager at ARYZTA Bakeries Europe. Alicia also holds a master’s degree in Ecology from the Free University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
