Extreme heat is already the deadliest climate hazard on earth, costing the global economy an estimated $1 trillion annually in lost productivity alone and it's accelerating. It is not the only hazard risk that is rapidly escalating: Flooding, drought, storms, landslides are all increasingly on the front page. But the financial and corporate systems meant to price and manage that risk are missing. Data is incomplete and the understanding of financial impacts across assets, operations and supply chains is basic at best. Why is this cost mostly missing from the world’s investment decisions?
