Community Offshore Wind, the joint venture between RWE Renewables and National Grid, will bring clean energy from offshore wind to the Northeast. Community Offshore Wind's awarded seabed (OCS-A 0539 in the graph above) in the New York Bight, the area between Long Island and New Jersey, is the largest parcel with the potential to power over one million homes and businesses in the Northeast.
At The Nest Summit Campus, Doug Perkins, President and Project Director of Community Offshore Wind, alongside Pat Johnson, Vice President and Deputy Project Director of Community Offshore Wind, will talk about the importance of community investment in clean energy development. Their project gets its name from their dedication to lifting up communities.
“We are excited to join other climate champions this year at The Nest Summit Campus to talk about how community investment and clean energy infrastructure development go hand-in-hand. As we progress our offshore wind project in the New York Bight, we will put communities in the Northeast first," says Doug Perkins.
