NEW YORK, NY February 22, 2023 -
The Nest Climate Campus, taking place from September 19-21, 2023 during Climate Week NYC, announced today GM as its “Presenting Partner”.
GM is committed to helping ensure that the transition to a more sustainable, all-electric future is equitable and inclusive of all communities. The Nest Climate Campus is a unifying destination for climate leaders to advance innovative solutions and take action. Together, GM and The Nest Climate Campus will feature advancements in clean energy, the transition to an all-electric future, and how to create more equitable communities through these initiatives.
"We are excited to be the ‘Presenting Partner’ of The Nest Climate Campus during Climate Week in New York this year. This is a crucial time to come together and share ideas to help ensure that we are making equitable progress on climate action. GM is proud to be one of the industry leaders in the transition to an all-electric future, and we look forward to collaborating with attendees at the Campus to make a positive impact," says Hina Baloch, Executive Director of Sustainability at GM.
As the “Equity & Justice Theme Partner”, GM will engage an audience of senior climate leaders across all sectors about their progress towards an equitable transition to clean energy and will present partner NGOs who are making a difference at networking tables in the Campus's Garden Eatery. A showcase of some of GM's latest EVs will also be on display in a dramatic setting, alongside the 6.75-acre green roof.
"We are proud to welcome GM as the "Presenting Partner" of The Nest Climate Campus. GM's commitment to sustainability is a powerful example of the role that the business community can play in inspiring change and driving progress on climate action. We believe that together we will catalyze new innovations, foster collaboration, and ultimately create a more sustainable and equitable world," says Britton Jones, CEO of The Nest Climate Campus, Chairman of the Board at Food Rescue US, and Member of NYC & Company's Sustainability Committee.
The Nest Climate Campus, the official event partner of Climate Week NYC, is the largest climate event in the U.S., with over 4,000 attendees across the Campus. The Campus will feature cutting-edge discussions on its Main Stage, Co-hosted Events for leading organizations, and engaging activations to foster networking and collaboration to unify the business and consumer climate community to take action. By convening under one green roof at the Javits Center, an iconic symbol of sustainability in NYC, attendees can make the most of the week without wasting time and energy traveling around the city.
